Vegan Wine?
Wine is made from grapes, but that does not mean every wine is vegan. During clarification, some producers use animal-derived fining agents such as egg whites, casein, gelatin, or isinglass to remove suspended particles and soften the wine. Vegan wines avoid those products, often using alternatives like bentonite clay, pea protein, or simply allowing the wine to settle naturally. The finished wine may contain little to none of the original fining material, but the production method is what matters to vegan consumers. If you want to be sure, look for a vegan certification or check directly with the producer.
